Rev. KyeongSu Jung wants to be called as an enthusiastic and faithful servant of Christ Jesus. Originally, he came from South Korea. He graduated from Yonsei University with a B.A. and Th.M. and from Seoul Theological University in 2000 with a Master of Divinity degree. After serving churches for several years as an associated pastor in Korea, he decided to study more in the United States of America. He graduated from Drew University School of Theology in 2006 with a Master of Sacred Theology degree. In 2006, he moved to Denver, Colorado to study Church History in Joint PhD program of Iliff School of Theology and University of Denver. KyeongSu was ordained as an elder in Korean Evangelical Church in 2002 and was recognized as an elder in the Mountain Sky Conference of the United Methodist Church in 2019. He served the First United Methodist Church of Buffalo, Wyoming for seven years as a pastor, and now serves as the pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Berthoud, Colorado. Pastor KyeongSu loves preaching scriptural and challenging sermons which stay with people throughout the week. He also enjoys not only visiting from house to house but also sharing God’s love and grace with people.
When pastor KyeongSu served churches in Korea, he served for many years as a leader for youth and young adult group. He enjoyed his ministries with youth and young adults and had several mission trips and projects with them. Because of his love of music, he served praise teams as a leader. He also served as the leader for various Bible study programs and Caring programs.
His wife Clara is a great supporter of his ministry. She has supported KyeongSu as a wonderful friend, companion, and co-worker in his ministry. They have three children, LaeOne; a college student, Laelim; a high schooler, and the youngest, Annie; an elementary school child. He enjoys music and reading. He also enjoys outdoor activities because he loves nature. KyeongSu has a passion and vision for worshiping God, inspiring love, nurturing discipleship, and sharing God’s power of love.
